deathconsciousness isn't noticeably "shoegaze-y" at all to me and i was confused as to why people were calling it shoegaze the first time i saw people doing that. the angelic process makes music that sounds like mush with quiet drums whereas deathconsciousness has super loud drums and vocals that are mixed above everything else
