lol, what a surprise, you pulled out the "fallacy" card. classic. naming a few logical fallacies doesn’t make your argument any stronger. you’re just hiding behind jargon to avoid admitting your point is weak. and seriously, learn to read. your whole post was about the self being more real in private forums - don’t backtrack now. it’s pathetic. maybe spend less time trying to sound smart and more time actually engaging with the discussion. you’re not fooling anyone with your pseudo-intellectual nonsense. keep reaching though, it’s entertaining.
erm false

Whereas on a semi private forum the self is sheltered by non-interaction with foreign worldviews, allowing for some to type with more revelation of the self.

twitter really lends itself to people saying things that are uncontroversial within their niche, which is why i created a section and a bunch of threads to promote people expressing differing/unpopular opinions and why i have encouraged anti-AF people to join the forum. i tend to find twitter pretty boring when most people are just spamming the same talking points, quote tweeting the same tweets, and posting the same clips.

i was disappointed by the lack of conflict in this thread.

another thought about forums, which i posted last night:
to me, the advantage of a forum over twitter is having less pressure. it's more like a groupchat -- that's how i use it. and the advantage over groupchats is permanence, searchability (vs twitter), organization, etc.
this was in the context of effortposting vs shitposting. i don't want to be expected to constantly effortpost. that is not appealing to me. however, that is appealing to other people. not everyone uses forums in the same way. i don't have much more to say on that -- i basically write the rules here, and we do not (unilaterally) punish people for posting garbage. many forums do not even allow people to "double post." we do have a reputation system which you should all utilize to promote and encourage good posts.

the only person I call my friend, a friend being someone you have a unity of mind with so that all filtering is removed, someone who if you committed a crime would hide you from the cops, I met at church. a proper meeting in time and space. all of my "friends" from school became trans or gay. I dont make friends at work
