there are so many things that we take for granted... and if they didn't exist, life would be so much worse.
im sitting here eating peanuts and thinking -- wat if peanuts didn't exist? that's such a unique and important flavor coming from this one nut. thank you, peanuts, for existing.
i feel the same way about cheese. what a great thing that we can turn milk into this Fine superfood. i can easily imagine an alternate reality where the same process just creates a disgusting stinky rotten thing.
i'm also really thankful Japan exists. they're such an anomaly, and the cultural/artistic output of their country accounts for a large portion of what i enjoy in my day-to-day life.
i'm also thankful Nazi Germany happened. this, too, was a massive anomaly that could've just never existed. its existence shows us that a different future is possible.
