I’ve had the answers on the board, and stated the answers were on the board, and still had people fail. I’ve given answer keys to entire classes and had people fail. If they don’t have any desire to attempt it, they won’t and there is nothing you can do about it. Unfortunately. I have to tell myself a lot that not every kid wants to learn and do the best they can in school like I did. But I’m also a high school teacher and a lot of my kids have been told by prior teachers they aren’t smart enough to do the work. Hard to reverse that mentality in 14 and 15 year olds.
