A finance and/or business forum would be a great add to the site. I'm sure many people here either dont invest at all, invest in everything (stocks, bonds etc) or only have money in crypto-currencies exclusively. People can give their business insight (if they have any) and ask questions about finance and the business world. Many people at our age seem to be much more interested in finance than business because of the ease of access to investing platforms like Robinhood and the 10 baggers you may have seen people hitting on Reddit. Nonetheless, people could share things like
  • Stock analysis
  • Financial models
  • New technology (like Godel created by Martin Shkreli)
  • Investment ideas and strategies
  • Due diligence
  • Investment opportunities
My hope is that it would not turn into r/WallStreetBets where people just upload loss porn or Wall Street Oasis where the same questions about networking are being asked (they are helpful sometimes but repetitive). Value Investors Club is aspirational but unrealistic since most people are not fishing the markets for investment opportunities. Considering the young demographic, I think that anyone who has the time and knowledge about anything concerning the subject would be helpful.
  • Are the standards for the type of content too high? (value investors club standard of content)
  • Is this something you would want to see on the site?
  • Is finance/business something you foresee being interested in?
It would be highly appreciated if you left comments about it below if you dont answer any questions above since I don't like doing polls. Be honest and raw (pause) about this idea.

DISCLAIMER - I am going to school for business so I have an obvious interest in this. ;)

ya sure thats a gud idea. we'd like 2 open a bunch of new sections covering different topics. we just need there 2 b enough threads on the topic in general discussion 2 warrant it. Like there already was a ton of threads on art and drama we could move 2 a new section on that topic. rn theres only 1 on finance.
