oh yeah, i was going to mention that the music in pulse tries too hard to tell you when something Spooky! is happening and rapes the atmosphere a little bit, which i don't remember happening in cure. the extended periods of silence in both were great but in pulse it's like they didn't even realize that it's supposed to be SILENCE sometimes.

towards the end of the film i don't think it would seem particularly silly if it wasn't for the

low quality CGI plane crashing

, which i might think was purposefully dumb if it wasn't for that i've seem some other kiyoshi kurosawa films which makes it obvious that he gradually lost all tact and subtlety and became insanely formulaic.

a couple of them i didn't know were his films before watching, and i was thinking while watching them "man they're trying really hard to copy kurosawa" and when i looked up the director to see who the b-grade kurosawa was, it was actually just him

i don't think there's a single film in the world that's scary

some games have tricked me into thinking something scary might happen, but nothing ever actually happens. it's just the moments where i think something is going to happen, but then all that happens is an enemy appears with loud noise or nothing. "surrealist" stuff like some of the happenings in silent hill show the potential in a scary game possibly existing but it's simpley not the case...

having to watch that horrible jumpscare film with harry potter in it in a class in school where it was just him walking through a house and then the generic orchestral soundtrack gets really loud and a ghost appears for a split second or nothing happens and he keeps walking around the house while half of the class was screaming every 5 seconds was an eye-opening experience into how most people are idiots, suck and are stupid

and also to anybody that might be reading these, please note that in no way am i arguing that cure isn't good, i'm saying you should watch both and that i really like cure but i REALLY like pulse

I love all Tom Cruise does. Last Samurai had some excellent scenes.

Just watched the royal tenenbaums and loved it. Need 2 watch more Wes Anderson I’ve only seen this and fantastic Mr Fox. Love the vibe and how wholesome it is.

Watching the young pope, p good so far. Kinda forgettable and I skip a lot of the slow scenes. Beautiful cinematography
