Writing this as I listen. I'm already on the third song, and I love the riffs. Very catchy, the lo-fi sound is great. The first two were pretty great but I wish they were longer. This is my second listen and it sounds better than the first time. The songs being short isn't necessarily a bad thing always btw, a lot of music in this genre suffers from being TOO long very often, so this is actually refreshing, it's jsut some ideas feel incomplete. TEMPTATION CREEPS TO YOU LIKE RAPISTS IN THE NIGHT. Game of Pricks has this twee sound to it that I've always really loved. Reminds me of some of the good Alvvays songs. Maybe I'm also a little love-drunk and this sort of sound gets to me more than usual. I looked at twitter for a few songs, these last few ones weren't particularly interesting. Currently at Big Chief Chinese Restaurant. Closer You Are.. feels so modern to me. Carseatheadrest-y. The "asian" riff in Always Crush Me reminds me of a song that I really like from the Ween/Boredoms collab album Z-Rock Hawaii. Back to generic lo-fi rock album outro music. 3/5 This could have easily been a 3.5 or 4 if the ideas in it were actually completed instead of just fucking around and recording.
