when i was in 6th grade i wrote an essay about matthew perry going to japan and then getting attacked by giant gundam-like robots and my teacher thought it was so good that she wanted to read it to the class. i told her no please don't do that and then the next day she read it to the class but said the author wanted to stay anonymous. everyone looked around the room confused about who the secret author could be and i was humiliated (publicly)
