raises my opinion of the trump admin substantially. while what they're doing isn't actually doing much to tangibly improve* the country per se, it seems like they are at least trying. the obstacles in 2016 were from within trump's own staff, now the obstacles are mainly the other branches of government. they're trying to break free of some of these shackles that would allow them to actually begin making substantial progress. i think mass deportations would actually happen if trump had a path to it.

*i acknowledge that blocking a significant number of border crossings is diminishing the rate at which the country was getting worse

what if trump concentrated all ICE/deportation resources into 1 state at a time, and moved everything from state to state with fixed intervals? for example, the month of april could be distinguished as the month where a maximum intensity terror campaign was launched against all mexicans living in the state of texas. then once they're terrified and decimated, trump could pack up and repeat that in a different state. things are spread too thinly right now.
