"In March 1970, at the Institute for Advanced Study, the mathematician Dennis Johnson said to me that he would murder his own mother, and murder all his friends, if by doing so he could get the aliens to take him to another star and show him a higher civilization. My own position is the same as Johnson's." - Henry Flynt

the idea of ufos being summonable is bizarre to me
I am skeptical too but I have seen enough enough reports of this kind of thing to not dismiss it outright, including a friend that would have no reason to lie who related meditating with the intention of having an UFO experience and then briefly seeing an UFO in the sky shortly after, in his words it "felt like an invitation". It also seems to be a common meditation experience to enter certain states where one sees orbs of light or other mild hallucinations so it could be this same phenomenon being interpreted within the context of ufology

whatever this phenomenon is (assuming it's real), it does not seem to fit with the conventional concept of crafts being piloted by intelligent humanoids/humans, or the concept of crafts piloted by biological artificial intelligence constructed by intelligent humanoids/humans. these theories tend to presuppose there to be an alien will independent of any human will, UFOs having their own purposes -- whether that's investigating our nuclear technology or "teaching us" things or whatever else. i suppose one way you can make this work is if you imagine alien intelligence to be constantly attempting to enter our time/dimension/place, but spaces/opportunities for doing so are incredibly limited such that any humans able to open up a psychical portal for them will see it quickly utilized, like a dam breaking. i would probably reframe this from "summoning" to "letting in."

imagine if we opened up a MASSIVE psychical rift in the sky and thousands of UFOs came pouring forth, blotting out the sun.
