Biden Signs Bill to Give $95B to Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan, Ban TikTok

President Biden on Wednesday signed “MAGA Mike Johnson’s” bill to give $95 billion from US taxpayers to Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan and ban TikTok for allowing criticism of Israel to go viral.
Biden just signed the mammoth war funding bill. “It’s a good day for world peace,” he says, without a hint of irony. New arms shipments will flow to Ukraine within hours. It’s a shame Trump couldn’t be there for the signing ceremony, they could’ve bonded over their shared support pic.twitter.com/wWLCcR0Crc

Pres. Biden: “I just signed into law the national security package that was passed by the House of Representatives this weekend and by the Senate yesterday. It’s going to make America safer, it’s going to make the world safer and it continues America’s leadership in the world.” pic.twitter.com/G2ByA6GHip

Ah yes, there it is — right on cue. Trump was tricked into collaborating with Mike Johnson, according to chief MAGA Svengali Steve Bannon. Trump is always haplessly moving about life, never having any agency for anything he does — always being failed by everyone around him pic.twitter.com/coddBnHmSo

This is incredible. Last night Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) gave an eloquent speech warning about the extreme dangers of the TikTok ban in the giant “National Security” bill. He correctly denounced it as unprecedented state censorship
Then… he proceeded to VOTE *YES* ON THE BILL!!! pic.twitter.com/zeaEIL6eBI

And… Rand Paul did not even bother to show up to vote. Paul also did nothing procedurally to hinder passage of the bill, including offering amendments. Mike Lee did, briefly — delaying passage for a grand total of 30 minutes or so. Incredible stuff from these brave dissidents

Lindsey Graham confirms once again that Trump’s support was a “game-changer” for getting the war bill “across the finish line.” If you’re still in denial about this, you’re just a sad cultist. Here’s why you can’t necessarily take YES or NO votes from politicians at face value in terms of their substantive positions on the legislation before them.
If anyone thinks Marco Rubio and Rick Scott (R-FL) are opposed on principle to Ukraine/Israel/Taiwan funding, I have a… pic.twitter.com/ATU4meLVXX

“This was the most disturbing legislative process I’ve seen in 15+ years of covering US politics,” Michael Tracey commented on Twitter. “A threshold has been crossed. The US just made an enormous down-payment on global war across at least three geographic theaters. And imposed radical government control of the internet.”

This bill was a giant “F*** you” to the American people and a pledge of allegiance to the Israel Lobby. It cements that the American people have nearly zero representation in Washington and Donald Trump hasn’t learned anything or changed at all.
