No One Wins In The End
4/19, Today we remember the tragic end to the Waco Seige and the invention of LSD. A massacre committed by the U.S. government against the American people. A tool created that would later end up being used against the American people in the ’60s. With these we are reminded that the war still rages.
From CNBC:
Russia’s new offensive in the Donbas region could prove to be extremely significant and decisive in the war, analysts warn, and could determine how the country’s territorial boundaries look in weeks and years to come.
“The Russian war machine in the east could prove to be a very painful threat for Ukraine quickly,” Maximilian Hess, fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, told CNBC Tuesday.
“It’s quite clear that Russia’s war aims remain quite extensive,” Hess added, saying that how the battle for Donbas proceeds “will determine how much of Ukraine east of the Dnipro (a river that bisects Ukraine) that [Russian President Vladimir] Putin carves away.”
The war really could go either way, GAE is dragging it on to hurt Russia more and more.
Watch in smug glee at the rich, attractive, popular wannabes blow their money and have a lame time at Coachella.
From Insider:
The first taste of the festival is not very picturesque.
The walk from the parking lot is long, tedious, and extremely dusty.
Festival workers try to reduce dust with water, but that often creates mud puddles.
The walk back is even worse.
Many people got lost trying to find their cars and were forced to cut through unmarked areas.
Some people took off their shoes because their feet had become so sore.
Lines at the festival are always long.
The line to buy merchandise is especially grueling.
You could wait 40 minutes or more to buy overpriced food.
This slice of cheese pizza cost $11.
This order of fries and onion rings cost $26.
There are very few tables and seating areas, so people typically end up eating on the ground.
In fact, people spend far more time sitting on the ground than you might expect.
The sun is so strong that people skip shows and activities just to sit in the shade.
It’s so hot that some people can’t bear to go near the stage, even if they want to watch the performance.
It can also be difficult to get close to the stage thanks to massive VIP sections, which are closed to regular patrons.
Much of the day is spent weaving through crowds.
Those crowds leave trash everywhere.
The experience can be overwhelming and exhausting.
These people look down on people like me and you for being ourselves. Hope they got sun burned, STDs, hangovers, and worse.
