i just watched dandadan episode 1. i was hoping it'd be more interesting with the supernatural element, but it's just a comedy so everything was goofy and silly. not really my cup of tea. the "popular girl falls for the nerd" trope is also super cringe and gay. (slightly less bad because of the gyaru thing but still bad) -- also the bullying backstories were stupid

it reminded me of flcl except it wasn't good like flcl

if this was written by an american (/a jew), the opening scene would've implied that the female protagonist was having sex with the delinquent (possibly even opening with a sex scene) before fighting him. but since it's japanese, the mangaka had to explicitly confirm that she's still a virgin.

pacing of the uzumaki anime strikes me as bad, though it's been so long since i've read the manga that it's hard to say anything specific about changes to the order of events. disappointing low-budget feel either way
