my flight was delayed and i had a connecting flight and im currently waiting for the plane to depart. i listened to the first 2 songs in the airport and was enjoying it; i didn't expect the jazz influence. the overall theory that started forming in my brain was that it's good but kind of gimmicky after a while unless more is done with it. nothing outside of the jazz influence really caught my attention. compare this to that brazilian music black metal fusion band (Kaatayra) where the entirety of the music is transformed into something wholly new

i won't be home until midnight but if i edit this post and click the option to hide changes, no one can prove my completed review wasn't posted now

drums are the main area where more experimentation could easily occur (non-gay jazz-influenced rock like Can and Talk Talk has shown what can be done here). the drums weren't bad but blast beats are boring. not really acquainted with the vocalist yet but expect to have thoughts on that

if magic hour and cheesy both drop off, it'd leave us below the threshold to continue to the next round, so the club would go on hiatus.

I have very few reference points for metal, so I was sort of disoriented the first listen and wasn't very drawn in. Listening more closely the second time around made me appreciate its experimental nature much more, including the obvious uniqueness of the jazz influence. I don't have any specific critique of the music, but it never became dull or repetitive and never dragged.
