It's horribly executed. Emotes can't be assessed on a match up basis because each emote is used in a different context. A better way to do this is to have each user list down X amount of emotes that they would want eliminated, and the emotes that receive the most votes get eliminated.

Or we can have an emote tier list, and the emotes that occur the most at the bottom of the list get eliminated. These can be further broken down by category like Eastern and Western etc.

that's the dumbest idea i've ever heard. the democratic element of this thread is the only bad part of the thread. simply discussing whether or not different emotes are of better or worse relative quality and ranking our affinity for them is perfectly fine. all emotes are used as a form of pictographic communication and expression of emotion.
