It's a good point in that the rigging in favor of the democrats didn't occur at all (compared to 2020). The reason for this is that there was no need to rig the election, because Donald Trump in 2024 is not a threat to anything people with power care about. Donald Trump won not because of any sort of "2big2rig" voting triumph, but because the people with power were completely happy to let him win. Trump is now a little dog on a tight leash.
covid-era voting regulation changes all systemically favored the democrats despite boosting turnout generally. unsolicited ballot mailing + ballot harvesting is what pumped up the 2020 numbers so much. turnout was boosted for both parties, but dems had a systematic method for intentionally driving their vote totals to absurd levels, and that's the entire reason so many of those changes were made in the first place.
there was probably a dem ground operation for ballot harvesting just like there was in 2020, but the percentage of mail-in ballots vs in-person voting was much more normal than it was in 2020, plus legitimate voting also favored trump over kamala relative to trump vs biden.
