i copied resu and i still didn't even get to level 30 this game sucks

The score screen blocks all the non-pellet towers. I had two or three of each at max rank. It's mostly a matter of timing, though. It's hard to balance building the layout with placing and upgrading the higher rank towers. If you're low on gold, just use pellet towers as substitues until you can afford to replace them, and my layout is weak to flying attackers, so by level 30, you need a ranked up swarm tower in the exact center. Also, you can use hotkeys: "1-6" to select towers and "s" to sell them.

my middle line was 5 swarm towers all rank 2 & 3, a stun thing at the left and right side both rank 2 (or maybe one was rank 3) and a pellet tower
the middle-top line was max ranked and i was starting to max out the middle lower line but only got 2 or 3 done before game over

For level 30, all you should need is a max-rank dart tower, a max-rank squirt tower, and a rank-4 swarm tower, which you can get to max-rank a few levels later. The rest can just be pellet towers, and you'll replace them (and finish the layout) when you have enough gold. One max-rank swarm tower does the equivalent DPS of 4 rank-3 swarm towers, and any advantage that the group of rank-3 swarm towers would have in range is offset by the speed boost the max-rank swarm tower gets. Here's my layout at lvl 30:
