I don't have anywhere else to dump this but I've had a project of mine to collect as many western Touhou artists as I can. I was interested in how Twitter has been a large factor in Touhou's spread to the west, and how the cultures preexisting on Twitter (the memes, trends, etc) have spread to Touhou as a result.

The list is vast, noncomprehensive, and increasing... and the more you dig the more of a headache you get.

Do note the amount of south americans present in the list.

There are probably a few SEA artists in this scene but they are so far removed from Japan they may as well be western.

That westerners can be located quite effectively by using the "meme" tag on boorus poses a pattern recognition.
