This implies he kills his grandpa any time he comes home like Ed Kemper is stuck in a loop, rather than when his grandpa came home after the murder of his grandma he killed him.

I keep hearing a couple of people from Kentucky and Oklahoma say things like, "Whenever I was ten years old". Like they were ten years old more than once. Or, "Whenever I was in High School".
