Regular interludes are their own kind of flow. Of course I can't say anything too specific unless you name some particular games. I find that most games that talk over the game stuff don't really have any point for doing either. And it's especially the AAA trend since forever to basically stop the game without stopping it to talk out loud at you.I have ears so I don't see why they would ever need to stop the gameplay flow for it. Maybe a few cutscenes. I actually know why it's a lazy way of padding game length.
