A super PAC supporting President Donald Trump has released a new political attack ad criticizing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ (R) entitlement cuts while also mocking his reportedly awkward pudding-eating habits.
“Ron DeSantis loves sticking his fingers where they don’t belong,” the Make America Great Again Inc. ad states, citing a Telegraph article from last month claiming the Florida gov. was once observed eating pudding with three fingers.
“And we’re not just talking about pudding,” the ad continues. “DeSantis has his dirty fingers all over senior entitlements. Like cutting Medicare, slashing social security, even raising our retirement age.”
The ad centers around DeSantis’ war on entitlements, blasting his support of cuts to social security and medicare, his numerous votes to cut social security and his proposals to raise the retirement age to 70.
“Tell Ron DeSantis to keep his pudding fingers off our money,” the ad ends. “Oh, and somebody get this man a spoon.”
The referenced Telegraph article poured cold water on DeSantis’ presidential prospects describing “strange tales” about the GOP hopeful hiding behind his wife and avoiding discussions with voters.
The brutal ad comes as DeSantis still has not yet formally announced he will seek the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.
Clearly, the Trump camp is not taking any chances and is conveying they won’t hold back if DeSantis does decide to throw his hat in the ring.
