nick's monologues are barely the same medium as what "streamers" do. it's more akin to doing a podcast except by himself, with video, live, on a daily basis -- which is extremely impressive, as i think most people understand.
i've never cared about him being late because it's incredible that he's even able to do what he does at all. imitators all get exhausted by the format after like 1 month (more or less) and then quit or change format to being a regular streamer: having cohosts, reading chat, padding content by being a react-andy, gaming, doing segments, etc.
as far as branching out goes, nick has been doing a lot of bonus streams in more conventional formats (react andy + some gaming) lately already. irl sounds like a terrible idea
