i never liked the original cover of this because it looked like some lame quirky indie pop album, but i feel like the actual music itself is supposed ot be geared towards people who actually listen to that kind of music. the album is filled with normal pop melodies and really feels like it's aimed at indie pop and post-rock normies almost like it's meant to be an introduction to actual experimental music, with glitch and drone and electroacoustic. but the side effect this gives to someone already acquainted with that kind of music is that it's a really light and watered down version of it that just feels like an indie album in disguise. it's sort of like the little interlude parts dispersed throughout velocity:design:comfort.

sure it sounds "nice," but it's also just really basic music that then has a bunch of electronics floating around in it. i don't know why this isn't called a post-rock album. i feel like i'd have a more positive opinion on it if it was a post-rock band incorporating experimental techniques instead of the other way round but it's somewhere between a 6 and 7 out of ten regordless

basically it's sunbather for the avant-garde
