i think this was the only time philip jeck and otomo yoshihide ever performed together, and they did it while also performing with martin tetreault. all 3 of them made the turntable their primary instrument in the 1990's, which was and still is very unusual for experimental, non-hip-hop artists. the other big name in experimental turntablism is erikm, but i don't like him.
philip jeck is dead, so there are less than 30 mins in recorded audio history of the 3 greatest free improvisation turntablists collaborating.
(they never recorded anything together in studio either, but this type of music is mostly done live anyway.)
i can only imagine what it was like to see/hear this as it was being created. RIP philip jeck
