So what are some RPGs where race and sex of the characters actually matter? Most of the time the consequences are so cosmetic it makes me wonder why do they even bother. Inspired by "RPGs where I can kill immigrants" thread

i haven't listened to other 90's swans albums in years so i'm not really sure. i also dislike later swans, but bodychoke isn't nearly as tedious. the singing is very reminiscent of gira's singing
it is more like "gothic rock" and not industrial at all. so if you like early swans because you're into industrial rock then i wouldn't recommend it

if an artist sounds like 100 other artists because they have no original ideas and their song structures are generic then there isn't much reason to listen to that one over another

what does popularity have to do with uniqueness. they might be correlated but they're fundamentally independent variables
i have unusual taste because i value uniqueness. most people do not.

3 things that generally determine my evaluation of a piece of music: uniqueness ("innovation"), whether or not it sounds good to me subjectively (this is impacted by structure: melody, harmony, rhythm, etc., but also timbre -- for which i have certain tastes), subjective emotional resonance (this is impacted by lyricism and context)
i got felted by a normie when they asked what currently-performing rock band is my favorite. i couldn't think of anything
i almost said xiu xiu but it was someone who was looking for things to play on a speaker so i didn't say it
i constantly get alienated from groups of normies because they invariably ask if i have plans for the weekend and i always say no. once you say "not really" 2 weeks in a row, all normies turn hostile and begin to consider you a potential serial killer
i never heard anyone having sex when i lived in a dorm for 3 years
my college was all frigid joyless asians in the dorms and probably people actually having fun and socializing in the fraternity area that i never walked through
i've heard that normies have sex with their coworkers even if they're married. maybe this is something that only happens at pizza hut though
one time nick did a stream where he read posts from women talking about their "work husbands"
normal conversations are usually about seeing something on tiktok or a streaming service (netflix etc) or talking about how someone they know irl did something / said something recently (possibly with them)
covid barely changed my day-to-day other than classes becoming virtual

i'm actually satisfied not "hanging out" with people irl, i just get annoyed when they get accusatory or hostile about me not partying or going on hikes or watching netflix or using tiktok or watching sports or doing literally anything that has overlap with them
i don't have the energy to maintain that and i'm a terrible liar. maybe if i was trying to rizz up a woman i'd lie about having plans on the weekend and using tiktok
