The Nick Fuentes alog industry has basically collapsed or at very least, it's moment of zeitgeist has come and gone. There are various internal disputes within the Dissident Right that are no longer relevant in the post-Elon Twitter era. For example, the "optics war" was a debate over how to move forward in an era of increasing censorship but has been rendered redundant in the era of free speech Twitter. Things have moved so far to the Right that it is hard to determine what a "wignat" even is anymore. Likewise, the issue of America First is different in this era. Much of my criticism of Nick Fuentes in 2022-23 were due to two things. First, after the entire right was wiped off social media, Nick was the last person in the Dissident Right with a significant public presence and I felt he was not acting with the level of seriousness that such responsibility should demand. Second, the sense that America First was standing of something better emerging. Neither of those things really apply in the post-Elon era. There are now about a dozen +100K white nationalist Twitter accounts. We're not quite as dependent on Nick to get the message out. In a way, Nick is bigger than ever but he's not as important as he used to be. There's much to criticize about Nick Fuentes but the fact is that he's never going to be totally destroyed. He's a talented enough of a performer that he will always be able to retain some audience and he's a big enough name, he'll always be able to find new allies willing to latch on to him, if for no other reason, than for the clout. There are some people who have deep personal grievances with Nick and other people for whom being anti-Nick is how they make a living. I don't expect those people but I am personally satisfied that Nick no longer has a monopoly on pro-white talking points which was always at the root of my objections. It wasn't so much that he was doing X, Y, and Z but that he was doing X, Y, and Z when he had the entire movement resting on his shoulders. This is not me "bending the knee" or "crawling back to AF". but just an acceptance that the alogs lost and we just have to live with that. The alogs almost won. Were it not for Elon Musk, they might have won. But Elon happened and it now appears that barring something extraordinary we are stuck with Nick Fuentes for the foreseeable and we're just gonnao have to make peace with that.

the first half was really good, but the second half was really gross. it is entirely unsurprising that a film like this had a sexual predator at the helm. i felt uneasy during this film's second half and i couldn't put my finger on it, but it's obvious now what that was. this film is pretty much unwatchable to me after that.

i don't detest this film solely because it is perv bait, because i'm still not sure it is. i thought koike and yoko's introduction made them out to be super compelling female characters, but yu just devolved further and further as the film progressed to the point where it became hard to not want his dick to be cut off. a shame because his actor is good and his arc is the first half was really compelling. a detestable main character is not necessarily a bad thing, as they are present in all media, and are a good way to apply a new lens to your film. but here he was presented in a way where the nuance isn't addressed and more so tossed out the window for a hollywood ending.

that being said the ending to this film is putrid and is so anti-feminist it's insane. "not every film needs to be feminist" if a film like this that is SO PERVERTED doesn't have a feminist twist, then what is the statement you are making? what is the point? because it seems obvious to me what the point would be. the first half had me so interested because it teased so many interesting ideas. sex and religion. lesbianism and drag. it gave me so much hope i was in for a film experience i would never forget. but it just devolved and devolved until it basically just became a fourth grader's shitpost porn. i really can't with this film. i get it means a lot to many people, but i can't get behind it at all. Mysterious Skin is one of my favorite movies of all time for how it addressed a perverted and disgusting topic in a human way. this film did not, and that's a damn shame.

this is the worst kind of film. a film with so much promise and fantastic acting throw away at the end for a worthless ending. i genuinely don't get the praise for this. i've gone on record for my dislike of Сталкер [Stalker], but i can at least see the value in that film, even if i don't get it myself. this though? i've never been so divided between two halves of a film. i could never watch this again since it left me feeling ill. and as much as i loved the yura yura teikoku use in the soundtrack, even that wasn't enough to save this. sorry.

Trump was not grazed by a bullet, he was shot directly in the head. It went through his earlobe and lodged itself inside of his skull. The bullet itself blocked much of the bleeding.
Don't believe the stupid video game logic that head shots are always fatal. The brain is surprisingly resilient to injury, it's why real snipers are trained to never aim for headshots. They're not always fatal.
Many people have been shot in the head before and have been able to stand up, walk, and appear coherent immediately afterwards. It's not uncommon for a person to be shot in the head and not even realize they have a bullet in their skull until they get X-rayed.
