have an urge to play a game where i can shoot things so i'm downloading killer7
i was always fascinated by killer7 as a child because it was one of my best friend's favourite games and was the 1 and only edgy gamecube game
however, i was always too scared to play it and would just watch him play.
game instantly flipped from extremely confusing to being extremely intuitive once i figured out the basic controls (the tutorial wasn't helpful because it used gamecube button names when i'm on PC)
i like how everything is really loud and aggressive and makes you feel like you're getting slapped in the face
the blurred line between technological and paranormal is also very intriguing. the enemies and characters aren't quite ghosts or people or monsters and since u can't put them into a simple mental box it feels actually kind of disturbing
a lot of the striking visuals are evoking nostalgia because they were burned into my head when i was a kid, like travis with his SEXUAL t-shirt and the mask guy flipping u off
don't like the point and click adventure aspect of killer7 so far. it just feels like tedious busywork going from room to room and activating things arbitrarily
"you have to do Thing A so that you can get Thing B which you need to unlock Thing C, and Thing C is what will let you through Door 1 which you MUST go through to advance to the next level."
yeah this is why i like "immersive sims" and CRPGs. maybe i don't wanna tapdance for you, game creator. maybe i like coming up with my own ideas.
