The more clearly I expressed my idea, the angrier you became... I really pushed your literacy to its limits today. Baby needs a new nappy. Shhhh have a nice rest now baby  Here's your lullaby:

I bet you think it sounds really good, because it was created by its creator and it's about something authentically human... pretending to be something you're not. Maybe we're trying to fool ourselves the most... but that's not what makes it deep.
The depth comes from the slackness of their embouchures, the richness of their culture, and the vividness of its actualization in dance :hurr:

This is a pretty striking 100 seconds of footage. But as presented here the music and dancing is edited by a filmmaker (presumably white), who is working them into his own presentation which perhaps is expressive of something he believes, or perhaps this is merely archival work.

What reaction are you hoping for here? Am I supposed to hate or belittle David Gulpilil or Australian aboriginals? I have nothing much to say about this. Their culture (as it was) was very authentic in that it was so primitive it's all behaviour that seems to come to humanity as naturally as killing animals to eat them. They arguably completely lacked depth of character on an individual level. Which I think makes the fact they had music and dance interesting. What did this mean to them? I'm not actually entirely sure. I've read a bit about these cultures at various points, but not as much as I'd like to.

To me NGE is a story about abandonment, self destruction, responsibility, self acceptance, and redemption. I feel like the mechs, symbolism, and story are just decorations nothing more, and I think it's why some people don't like EVA. NGE to me is a show for depressed people and if you aren't in a particular mood or state of mind then EVA just won't feel the same. This is also why I think the rebuilds miss the mark so hard since the emotion is gone, and ultimately EVA is nothing but a forgettable mecha show without it's emotional connection to the audience.
