Watching the young pope, p good so far. Kinda forgettable and I skip a lot of the slow scenes. Beautiful cinematography
I don’t even remember if I finished the young pope and would not necessarily recommend. Outside of some pretty shots of the recreated Vatican City I’m not sure what the show is trying to say. The pope is an atheist but also wants to be an old school Catholic extremist and try to wield the power of the church over modern day politicians. This premise doesn’t interest me much and it looks like they make the pope a degen by season 2 so it’s negative payoff.

I’ve never liked his other stuff at all, very gross.
the only good elements are ripped off from stan brakhage
That’s what I meant about liking the ending. I enjoyed the narrators voice and the flow of the film too, but mostly it was the mix of music, animation, and photography. It was also probably one of the first experimental animated films I had seen, so I appreciate that. I agree though i remember it being cringe when they get into talking about death or abuse or anything that’s not meant to be comical really

i thought my spoon is too big was funny when i was 10

i also liked the hat club thing but i saw it in some stick flash animation first (i think it was just called “stickmen on crack” but “on crack” was a really generic title then) and thought that rejected copied it instead of the other way round

I watched crash box all the time as a kid. If it was released now it would be considered pure brain rot. It’s unique in that it was a weird and fast-paced educational show that worked to get the viewer to not get distracted and think outside of the box in short time spans to solve puzzles.
