Walter white jr’s switch up was the worst imo. Walt got him everything he wanted and he just freaked out the second he learned Hank was dead

if walt jr thought what walt was doing was simply cool or good, then it would've messed up the plot by vindicating walt's behavior in a simplistic way and preventing him from having to have an internal conflict over his fundamental motivations

he kept going even when he was clearly hurting his own family bc a big driver of his behavior seemed to be "building an empire" to feed his ego since he got cucked out of co-founding a multi-million-dollar company in college

when he said "i did it for me," i don't think he was lying.

Yeah they are definitely completely different especially in the first seasons. breaking bads pacing was a lot more energetic just in general. Lalo Salamanca’s introduction was my favorite thing from BCS, it totally changed the show after Chuck
