is there a band where the drums far outshine every other instrument to such a degree as long fin killie? the only other band i can think of in that regard is lightning bolt but they're a not-very-close second

there's only one piece of footage i can find online of long fin killie playing live and it's only 1 minute long and it's their only song i don't like

90s post-rock as a whole, when there was no real specific style yet or any conscious effort to make that kind of music, is usually way more appealing overall than anything that comes from a band who call themselves post-rock. i also feel like i made this post before already but um. uh :weed:

anytime someone judges the entirety of music by its decade, like how he said "i hate 80s music" as if that's a genre, i disregard their opinions on music entirely
if you're saying something like you're weary of any post-punk albums made after the 80s, or any drum and bass after the 90s, that's different because it's a specific kind of music with specific events and shows you probably know a decent amount of what you're talking about. like with dnb it's probably because there was a huge shift in sound in the aftermath of jump up and techstep/hardstep, with post-punk it'd be because the scenes had died completely by the late 80s in both UK and US so there's a high chance it's some indie abomination or not "genuine" (i.e. just aping what was already considered old-school,) but almost nobody who talks about music by decades can go into any detail on any of this. and um
