NoFluxes was introduced to AF and groypers through Mana Monthly, an online Melee netplay tournament for banned players started by a Zelda main called TheManaLord. Until recently, the tournament was partly organized and commentated by Dalton Edwards, an AF viewer.

Tenryo made contact near the start of 2024 and insinuated that America First Foundation funds could be used to sponsor in-person Mana Monthly events. He also said he owned an e-sports company and contributed $500 of his own Solana gains to one of the tournaments, which was collected by Zion.

At some point there was a schism in the community, either because some members didn't like groypers making it explicitly political, or because Tenryo wasn't delivering the implied sponsorship and syndication. So you might see associated players like NoFluxes and DaShizWiz taking snipes at groypers here and there.

They may feel like groyper involvement costed them their goodwill with the chuddier part of the Melee scene, but this is kind of their own fault because the series founder started denying the holocaust on livestreams shortly after he met Tenryo and started watching Nick clips. idk Ganon? I think he plays more Ultimate. I only looked in to this cause I wanted to know where they got the idea that the Nick was sponsoring smash events after his Christmas fundraiser stream (ofc anybody's first guess was the right answer)
